Yves Dempsey Brings His Car Back to Life at Sandy Lane

At Sandy Lane, when we think of Yves, we think “meticulous”; his car is usually spotless, inside and out when he comes to the shop. Yves grew up in Edmonton and is a heavy-duty mechanic. When he first came to Sandy Lane with his new-to-him 2005 XC70 in 2016, he was looking for advice on how to boost his car’s performance. He was discerning about the suspension and engine upgrade parts that went under the hood and took great care to make it his own.

“Every time I come back to Sandy Lane, it’s smiling faces. They take into account my background in mechanics and it’s always a two-way conversation and ‘how can we help?’ The whole experience stands out.”

FAVOURITE ACTIVITY:

One night a week, Yves is on volunteer ski-patrol with his dad at Snow Valley. In the summer, he spends his free days mountain biking with friends in Edmonton’s River Valley.

“We are a resilient people. Despite our hard winters and hot summers, you find people with smiles on their faces and willing to help. We are also lucky to have great outdoor scenery.”
